Recommendations for Germany....
We are looking for any recommendations for camp sites for our touring caravan in the Black Forest (ideally mid but anywhere will suffice) and also Bavaria (somewhere between Munich and the Austrian border). We will be there late April/early May. We prefer quieter sites rather than all-singing-all-dancing mega sites, but an EHU is essential, spending a week at each location. Any help/observations would be very welcome. Cheers

We loved Garmische-Partenkirchen and stayed HERE. You get a free bus pass to use in the area and a trip up the Zugspitz is a must, we went up on the cable car and back on the cog wheel train, absolutely fantastic, yo can even cross into Austria at the top, Lots of sites on the way up, great area and lots to do.
The site is separated so caravans are in a separate area and can use the facilities us poor Motor homers have to use our own.

Camping Kirchzarten and Camping Belchenblick are the two I have used in the Black Forest area. They were both excellent site some years ago and cannot envisage they have gone downhill. Of the two I preferred Kirchzarten

Sandbanks Camping on Lake Titisee is good. Excellent facilities block. Views over the lake. Walk along the lake into the town.
