Well if one is happy to be less flexible there is little justification for reminding everyone of the fact that one can't get to where one wants to go, I'd say. One just has to grin and bear it!

    Thanks for sharing.

You're very welcome! But, nice though it is to be appreciated, we're all just "sharing" aren't we so no need to pick out my comment out for particular praise.  Thanks though, Alan! 👍

Yep, can't have it all ways so we have to put up with things and adapt. Unfortunately, none of us can change how it is no matter how much we might whinge about it.

Do you have any examples to back up that outrageous accusation?

    Yes.

David has adapted by staying at home and has as much right as you to comment on holidays abroad being unavailable.

We should have been heading off to Italy for a walking holiday in a couple of week's time - cancelled now - so we've booked a cottage in Exmoor for a week's walking there instead. Won't be quite the same but we'll enjoy it nonetheless.

You adapted by going to Exmoor, David decided not to go away at present. You deem your solution acceptable to enable you to comment but, for some reason, not so David's comment on a lost holiday and his decision (adaptation) is not to caravan in UK at present.

It is notable that, judging by David's response at the bottom of page 10, he seems to have taken the exchange in much better spirit than his apparently self appointed spokespersons!  laughing

How the hell do these Moderators work ?????, if there isn't bad feeling on this post I will eat my hat. Yet other Posts have been locked for far less. it is beyond me. surprised

    Moderator Edit:

For information - there is an enormous time lapse between a moderator's action to lock a thread and the actual locking.  Several posts on here have displayed well after the thread was locked.
