Im travalling From newhaven to Dieppe At the end of August and returning end of September.

Car, caravan and cabin booked both ways 13th June 2020 all paid for in advance.

The DFDS APP indicated that only my car was booked on both crossings!! Help

Sent email to club, but no proactive reply, in fact I contacted themafter waiting on the phone for 45 minsmoney-mouthyell only to be told they had sent an email and had no reply 5-7-2020.

22-7-2020 could not get through on the phones waited 45 mins then went on online chat. To cut a long story short they were going to send the email again as they could not contact DFDS by phone still as their lines were closed, Do Camc only have one number??

During the chat I rang DFDS Directly and spoke to a really nice French lady who told me everything, simples!!

I am booked on the ferry with my car and caravan, problem with the app, its been hilighted and they are working on itsmile

The booked cabin for all tourists have been cancelled so individual lorry drivers that usually sleep together in a 4 berth cabin, have to sleep on their own. Its important that we can protect our freight drivers, who are keeping supplies moving between countries.  I can understand that.

Although website says that the lounges on board are closed(22/7/2020) they are not and this is where us tourist travallers can rest and sleep.

So if you have booked a cabin on your trip you wont get it at this moment in time for July and August. This is subject tochange at any time.

So Im deciding what to do, what I can sleep in to protect myself?

During the online chat I told the lady that I wanted her manager to contact me by return as I have information for them.

3 hours later nothing! Really customer focused or what?

I want to see how they refund me my cabin costs and how prompt they are in doing so.

A frustrated member. I know all about Covid, but working from home has proved to improve productivity by major proffesional companies. Im working from home and have seen my productivity increase.

Happy holidays to those who I may meet on the ferry, at a distance of course.

Oh dear, what a muddle - I am sorry to hear it. It sounds as though you have booked a night time crossing. Is that so? If no cabins are available and you don't want to sleep on the floor, can you switch to a day time sailing - they only take four hours and a deck chair in the fresh air might be the best choice if it's a sunny day.
