Tow bar blowing fuse.

Hi all, I’m a newbie first time caravaner and have tried collecting my new caravan twice but keep having issues with right indicator on the caravan not working when connecting to the car. I have a new tow hitch fitted by a Jaguar dealership (cost of a kidney) if I connect to other caravans it works fine but when I connect to my car it blows a fuse in the van. I naturally thought it’s a caravan issue but today the dealer connected 3 cars and the lights worked every time. I connected to 2 other caravans on the plot (that’s now 3 in total) and the lights all worked. 3 attempts connecting my car up to my caravan and fuse blows every time. Caravan engineer reckons that everything on the caravan is fine and keeps referring to the 3 cars that connect without a problem and his mobile meter. Frustrating and not the best introduction to what I was hoping to be a relaxing pass time.

Taking the car back to Jag tomorrow but fearing they are going to say all is ok.

Anyone every had this issue and how was it resolved?

for info  the caravan is 18 months old and I am the first owner. Swift Sprite Quattro EB

Thanks

Bernie

I'd agree with your first thought ie it's got to be a problem with your caravan. Does your caravan have normal filament or led road lights? Were the various car/caravan combinations similar to your car & caravan  ie led/filament on the car connected to led/filament on the caravan .... I'm just guessing .... 🤔

My money would be a fault with the caravan. It'd be handy if you could find another Jaag the same as yours with a towbar & see if that works. Towbar electrics used to be so simple! 🤨
