Just received our annual travel insurance renewal from Insure & Go and following are now not covered.

  •  Claims for Covid 19 and SARS including fear or threat from the virus or any variation
  • Scheduled Airline insolvency
  • Supplier insolvency - losses caused by insolvency or failure of any company you book with including booked holiday accommodation (ic hotels), car hire, coach ferry or train tickets

I guess they will not be the only ones to do the same.

Did the price go down as there cant be much cover left, especially for anyone with pre-existing medical conditions

I understand that Saga are providing cover for coronavirus, once travel abroad is allowed that is.

Only read about it so not gospel but worth a ring if you need it.

They are.The only thing they won't cover is if you have to cancel your holiday due to covid but once you are on your holiday you are fully covered.

I had a look at this site and it says at the start:

”COVID-19: We are delighted to announce our policies cover Emergency Medical and Repatriation Expenses, if you get infected by COVID-19 whilst abroad; please note that this cover only applies to trips undertaken if the FCO have not advised against all or all but essential travel to your destination prior to your departure.

Unfortunately, no cover will apply under any other section of the policy for cover claims related to any coronavirus (including COVID-19).”

Until the FCO revises the advisory against non-essential foreign travel any trip you make will be uninsured.
