Hello, We have a caravan that we keep in storage in Spain for our children and grandchildren to use. the storage people have said that we must have at least a third party insurance on this caravan, can anyone tell me of a company that will offer this insurance, we have tried several without success.

Only an idea but have you tried Linea Directa which is the Spanish Branch of Direct Line Insurance?.  They are always advertising in Spain on the radio and I seem to remember the advert saying that they spoke English ..... the other idea would to maybe try an insurance company based in Gibraltar who will of course speak English and may well be able to either offer cover or point you in the right direction.

    Good Luck

The other alternative would be to take out a full caravan insurance but for the minimum amount of cover on your caravan and you would probably get the Liability insurance as part of the cover.

Whilst stand alone Liability insurance is difficult to come by for your circumstances, there are probably a few companies that will cover the shell of the caravan with the Liability thrown in so to speak.

    Hi

We live in Spain and use an English broker called Jennifer Cunningham to insure our motorhome, I think they use the Spanish insurance company Liberty Seguros to cover most outfits here. I know from my storage place the majority were insured by the CAMC being British but this did change after the September storms were a lot of British companies got bitten. They have a web site and are based in Javea on the Costa Blanca and should be able to help you although it might be expensive as the Spanish register their caravans separately to their vehicle.

The Camping and Caravanning Club insurance service offer policies for caravans stored in the EU. We’ve used them for years.
