Caravan on Mull

Anyone taken a caravan to Mull?  We have a 12 ft Elddis, so not exactly a monster.  But I want to know how easy it would be to get to / from the ferry down to the campsite at Fidden - either side of the end of May bank holiday.  I know they are single track with passing space roads, but are these likely to be OK?

Thanks

Its been 15 years since I was last on Mull and I doubt whether anything has changed in that time (such is the beauty of this unspoilt island).

The road to Fidden, as you correctly say, is single track, albeit fairly wide, with many passing places, most are large enough to accommodate coaches, so you will be fine. Don't be surprised to find it's the locals who'll give way (i.e. they pull into the layby to give you right of way)

As frequent users of the roads on Mull, they know the code and used to be very courteous. However, I don't recall seeing another vehicle when I used that stretch, once passed Loch Beg!

    Enjoy

Do caravans use the site or just tents and campervans? If the answer is 'yes' to caravans, I think that tells you all you need to know. 👍🏻
