Coronavirus Worries
We are going to be touring Italy April to July and were about to book the tunnel, but are now having second thoughts due to the Coronavirus.
Anyone else having similar thoughts ?.

No such worries at all, Sanchas !!
If we start worrying about what will be happening over there in a few weeks / months time then we'll never stir from our own sitting room would we Just keep a weather eye out for publicity & official advice and go ahead & book those tickets

+1👍🏻. Folk are as much at risk in the UK as the rest of Europe🤷🏻♂️. I’d personally swerve Wuhan mind😊

Just seen on the News that you actually have to be within two metres of someone for the risk of infection to become a problem. I can't see that going to Italy is likely to put you at any more risk that going to Southend. The advice is always to maintain a strict hygiene regime of hand washing but that should be true all the time.

I have anti virus software so I should be safe.

funny you should say that, was just looking at what insurance was available for our 80 day trip commencing April. Have been using Red Pennant and i very much like the idea of having all the insurance under one umberalla so to speak, but for their plus insurance it is £575 you could go for the cheaper version at £375 but for peace of mind and £200 I would prefer the £575, they also cover upto age 79 and are not too picky re existing as for Corona, i could be drinking lots of that in Spain.

Yes, but only if the official advice was not to travel. It is my understanding that, if you cancel, for example because you don't want to risk getting the Corona virus, yet there is no official travel advice against travelling, the insurance would not pay out.

I'm not worried at all - and given that we now have two confirmed cases in the UK, what makes you think that any risk is confined to 'over there'. We're going back to our house in France shortly, and won't even think about the Corona virus.
Though I do admit I did steer well clear of the many Chinese visitors who were on the same Settle/Carlisle train as us, on Monday!

One day that 'genie' may be out of the bottle. It's early days yet in this potentially awful event. Today the World is far more connected, heavily populated and spread is exponential, the virus could mutate faster than we can fight back. Let's hope not but I do consider hope may be the operative word. Let's hope and pray not!
As far as being responsible is concerned I'll take my lead from those that know far more than me about such things.

I don't drink lemonade so Corona virus doesn't bother me.

I feel sorry for all the GP’s who are no doubt inundated by the panicky worried well....... get a grip no wonder the young are frightened of risk and before anyone criticises me, my son has just spent a week in hospital in Prague after returning from Hong Kong with a severe kidney infection, never even crossed his mind not to go to HK or that he had contracted this virus (which he hasn’t). Late news just in, I understand the Corona company have offered $15m to change the virus name to Budweiservirus........

Once got bird flu (H1N1 Avian flu) whilst travelling through Singapore in 2009.Was a bit shocked as I'm a bloke
After contacting the Dr, was quarantined at home with Dr masked, gloved and Tyvek suited when visiting.
Protocols are in place, so wouldn't worry.

Should be alright on Club sites then with their minimum spacing between outfits. Not sure about the Italian lakes though; 2 meter spacing can seem quite generous!
