Crit Certificates for Italy

In the summer I am travelling from France into Italy via Turin

I have explored routes using Michelin route maps. These have said that I will need a Crit certificate for part of my journey in Italy (In and around Turin I think)

Has anyone any experience of this and do they know how I apply for the certificate

Help will be greatly appreciated

I have a standard 2 litre diesel Audi Q5 towing a caravan

Do you really want to drive into central Turin or simply drive by on the ring road?

There certaly are restrictions on driving into the city centre at certain times, and as far as I know there are no certificates to allow you evade a ban on doing that. But I don't think there are any restrictions or certificates required for you to drive by on the ring road, but the AA and RAC might be the best people to confirm things if this Club head office cannot help you.

Thanks to Eurotraveller and David for their helpful advice

I think the problem is that I would have to drive inside the Turin ring road to get to the overnight stop This must be ok for caravans and motor homes as the overnight I have in mind caters for both.

    Thanks again

Italy has a very complicated system just make sure you don`t enter a ZTL- Zona a Traffico Limitato mostly in the very central parts of urban areas.
