On our way back for the Saint Malo to Portsmouth ferry after several weeks in southern Brittany we stayed for three nights at Camping Bellevue near Erquy. Just over an hour's drive west of Saint Malo the site, C&MHC affiliated, turned out to be wonderful. Four months ago it was bought by the present owners who are working extremely hard to bring it up to modern standards. Somethings are very 1980s but otherwise very clean and tidy and quiet. The area is lovely so we are definitely going to go back there, maybe as soon as a couple of month's time. We use the St Malo route as it is a good compromise for reaching southern Brittany but to save costs for a visit just to this part we will probably use the Poole to Cherbourg route.   https://www.campingbellevue.fr/

    Glad you liked it - it's a lovely area. Did you get out to Cap Frehel?

    Be sure to take an ACSI card if you go again - the off peak Club prices there are £3.50 a night more than than the ACSI Camping Card rate.
