Adria Table

i have an Adria Motorhome.  It has a table on a rise and fall pedestal behind the front seats.   I think many other brands have s similar table  

The table Is fully adjustable and fixed to the floor by a number of screws. I am thinking of removing this table and replacing it with a lightweight foldaway type

has anyone done this?  Am I likely to create a problem by removing it
