Awning confusion

Hi all,

Hi all,

We have a sprite super Quattro FB with a ‘A measurement of 1056’.

We have been looking at the Isabella type awnings as this season our van has been left on a site and we felt this type of awning would be great for the seasons use due to rigidity, size etc.

Our confusion comes by how we actually get one that fits our van. A size 16 seems to go up to an a measurement of 1050 where as a size 17 starts at 1050.

Where we would appreciate advice is do we need An awning that goes up to 1050 or would that be too small? Or do you need one that is a size 17 that goes just beyond 1050?

We have found a secondhand  awning  which is an Isabella ambassador moonlight 1050  but are apprehensive in purchasing as it could be too small?

Your experience and advice is much appreciated.

Thank you EasyT, I did look at that before and that began the confusion lol.  That tells us that the Isabella measurement is 1050, but as that is the bridge between a 16 and 17 size I didn’t know if I would be stretching it to get it to fit on a 1062 van (which is what they state are a measurement is).

I just rang Dorema who were very helpful and they told me we should be a size 17 as a size 16 or a 1050 would be a bit of a stretch to get on our van laughing whereas a size 17 gives us room to manoeuvre on different plots.

I would have thought the same. better a little too much than too little on an uneven pitch.
