Taking caravan on ferry to Ireland
Hi. I travel alone with my caravan (plus two dogs). I am a fairly confident tower but don't much like reversing and mostly use my motor mover (although I'm a bit better since completing the caravan club towing course). I would like to travel by ferry to the republic of Ireland and would be fine with the towing but what troubles me is boarding and leaving the ferry and, more particularly - whether once I'm on board I would have to manouvre my caravan into position.
I've driven on and off ferries to Ireland for many years so know about the procedure with regard to cars parking - but its just that I'm worried that, once on, I would be asked to manouvre my caravan into position. Any advise would be most welcome.
Thank you.

Hello, we have just done an Irish sea crossing today and arrived at C&CC site delamont country park NI. Crossed with Stena leaving Birkenhead this morning, arrived Belfast early evening. No problem boarding the Stena Lagan. A stern loader - you get on at the back and off at the back! Drive on, a U turn coming back on yourself, no reversing, lots of space, crew excellent. Also used Stena Holyhead Dublin, and rosslare Fishguard with no problems - these boats you drive straight through. Always travel with Stena on the Irish sea! Hope this helps.
