I would appreciate advice on an oscillating fan to purchase for the summer. I don’t see too many on the market that are 12v. There is one by PK Green but it’s quite large. What do most people do? Thanks.

We bought a RoadPro 12v fan for under £50 I recall. OK it's not an oscillating fan. It can run off its own batteries, but we just used the van electrics to power it.

The Endless Breeze 12v fan is highly rated but double the price and was unavailable when we wanted to buy a fan for our trip to Europe last year.

We found the RoadPro was good. I hung it from a roof light using a velcro strap. It is two speed. Some reviews criticise the battery compartment lid as a bit fragile and the on off switch and speed settings are not overly robust, but worked for us.

This might seem strange but some heating systems have a setting to allow cold air to be blown through the system. The Truma system we now have, with the electronic control panel, as opposed to dials, allows us to do that as did a much older system we had in previous caravans.
