Hee hee! Having taken the last van (Barcelona) through the middle of Stratford (and I mean the middle) and then through a traffic calmed, pretty (so my wife told me), Cotswolds village - and then this one through the middle of Kirby Stephen last week - with cars parked /abandoned anywhere, it seemed - I reckon I'll manage somehow!

I just don't do 7'6" Cornish lanes with an 8' wide vanlaughing

There are lots of places in Cornwall where it’s not wise to tow.

    I hope this isn't A&J in Fowey😃

    And in Polperro -

We've used Exeter Racecourse as an overnight en route to Cornwall. Only thing to be aware of is the exit off the A38 Devon Expressway as you climb, appears suddenly.

Must return for a longer stay at some point.

Love it TW, just imagine all the "help" that might be available in the local pub and that horrible crunching sounds as they push it backwards! laughing

(I bet they missed the turning to the camp site in Polruan, what a nightmare...wink)

But Polruan is not one  of them!

We kept our first van at home but it was a very light Perle Olympus and after that the vans were just too heavy to get up the rather challenging hill close to home which was literally from a standing start.

We even had people stand in front waving their arms and telling us we could not go any further.

I should point out that this van was an ex hire van, it was all we could afford that did not have glass windows and gas mantles, and was showing excessive signs of wear so a few more scratches and dents did not worry us, not that we got any.
