It’s shorthand for head office. East Grinstead House, or something similar.

Sometimes known as EGT - the T being Towers.

Yeah i know what you mean .

The reason i started the thread on here is to see if there is an area of this club where there lies injustices in complaints procedures. Is it common that we are fobbed off ...or are we listen to, and taken seriously. With injustices fully explored.

I know a lot of people maybe give up at the first email.....but this is so unfair i need to push it a bit further so set the bar higher . I was just wondering of others experiences hence the thread . I have to weigh that up with my own anxiety levels and whether its best we just leave quietly or fight for standards here ....i suspect it will be the first of those statements sadly . Its a shame really . Thanks for your thoughts though

Just have concerns with the passage of such a huge amount of time that a true record of events will be lost . At least i have photographic evidence as back up . 😞

Please don't give up trying to get a resolution.  Not just for yourself, but for the other members who may fall into the same bottomless pit.

Thanks to Rowena for a link to the bottom of the complaints procedure.

You don't mention whether your second email was acknowledged? If it was did they give an indication of when you would hear back? If you had no acknowledgement I would send it again.

Just checking my emails ! Its actually the 3rd one that was sent , not the 2nd.  Yes it was acknowledged with the content ( amongst other words ) , ‘i will review this again and come back to you shortly’ 🤷‍♀️

I will just continue to wait . To be honest i just wanted to update as people asked me to .

If that was all it took to satisfy you, and assuming that you are satisfied, I am glad that it was a relatively trivial matter as I had no idea what the problem was and whether you had suffered damage or significant financial loss.

It was a big matter to us....but as i suffered a rare out of the blue s.c.a.d heart attack at 49 and almost died , it makes me now more wise to choose my battles . And how long i fight them for .A new perspective on life if you catch my drift ...i can go on fighting, but with that in mind i am happy that i was believed, it wont happen again with anyone else and the club have given us a site voucher . Result from where i am standing dont you think ?  Sorry ...probably sounds a bit more arsey than i intended it to . The lady emailing was nice anyway .

    ??? Serious is subjective.

I had enough sleepless nights and we lost enough money . My reasons for leaving the matter are highlighted in the post above re my heart attack .

    Thanks for your thoughts anyway

Now that it is settled is it your intention to share the details with us or would it be better that I lock this discussion if you have no more to say on the matter to save speculation?

I think we are talking about the way system works not the subject of the complaint alas it would appear the club does not have a system. Surely the wardens keep a incident log to refer to at a later date, if someone  has a complaint it is entered into the log along with the action taking (if any)

Giza, in your OP you asked the following questions :

" ....did anyone ever get a satisfactory outcome ? Anyone get a positive ending ?”

It seems you can now answer them yourself with a resounding “Yes”. Really there’s no need for you to say more unless you want to. Don’t be pushed by others but do your own thing.

Thanks Tinwheeler. I got an ok result , ( not sure it was a resounding result.) ....but it was ok ....but honestly i think it was because i pushed and had evidence and it was undeniable  . That will do for me . I’m not going to push it any further as i said before , life is too short . I was believed ...which means a lot . Hopefully wardens will now be more aware ...which is a result , i got a little of what i lost back . And the lady who dealt with my concerns was helpful. Thank you for your help Tinwheeler 🙂

Just in closing , it is worth fighting for something if you come up against any unfairness. Thankfully its the first time in a fair few years that it has happened to us. Maybe a better system of complaints , procedures and a quicker handling time ...but this result is ok for us . I do thank you for your time and support Tinwheeler and that thanks extends to everyone who has contributed here on this thread . Thank you 😊

i would hate to-be thought of as a trouble maker here . That upsets me greatly . Just one who hurts when faced with injustices and is inclined to speak up in case it affects others . Thanks x
