Which way to pitch for a folding camper

Hi all,  we have just bought our son a folding camper (Conway Countyman) and my question is this.  Which way round would you expect him to pitch on a site.

The door is on the back end of the trailer, and as you look at the door the pods go left and right, not forward and back  as on some other folders.

The length is A frame to rear is 3.9 m. But with the awning added it makes it 6.4 m

The width is 4.3 m.

If you park with the A frame facing forward the awning will be looking at the hedge at the back.

If you park with the A frame facing the hedge the awning will face the road (as in the picture)

Or do you park with the A frame facing the left side and the awning then looking like a caravan awning layout.

I'm thinking that the left back corner (as in the picture) would be the part that would have to be closest to the marker but am I right.

I think if will be a case of asking the warden on each and every site used and I bet they'll all give different answers.

If I were you, I’d approach the sites dept direct and try to get a definitive answer.

a really interesting question, where is the edge? or what is considered to be the 'wall' of the outfit for the 6m/3m rule, is it the part of the wall that is there?

Folding campers are allowed so someone in the club should know, warden or EG towers? I'm with TW and would get an answer before arriving.

    thought: perhaps JK could post?

Glad its not just me then that's confused.  Spent most of this evening with him trying everything out. Somebody was so talented when they designed those things. Hats off to them.

Tinwheeler is right , you probably will get a different answer from each warden as each wardens site has a different layout . However ,as long as the outfit doesn't breach the safe distance rules it doesn't matter which way it points .

Trailer tents and small campers with huge tunnel shaped awnings both give us wardens something to think about when advising on pitching but on the whole were a friendly bunch just ask on arrival at site .
