Can anyone help please?

Thanks.

Where are you wanting to fly back to in the UK?  I wrote this in 2011 in response to a similar query about parking at Lyon -  but it would still apply if you are able to fly from a regional airport:

Rather than flying back from a major airport such as Lyon, or Nice, where parking is at a premium, the smaller local airports, such as Vias/Beziers, Nimes, Toulon, Carcassonne, Limoges, etc have disproportionately large car parks for the number of passengers and you may be able to park in the long stay car parks. You can fly from Vias/Beziers directly to Bristol with Ryanair - and if you can book early may get a real bargain. There are many sites around there which will store your motorhome (it's an area with lots of campsites)...............

Otherwise google 'Gardiennage de caravanes' (or Camping Car) Lyon' (or any other airport you might find convenient).   Here is one result for such a 'google':  Motorhome storage, near Lyon

e store our caravan in France, on a campsite in the Ardeche, which is very cheap at 180 euros a year (pro rata for monthly storage) - but unfortunately not really near enough to an airport for you.

    Hello ValDa

I'm currently searching for caravan storage sites in The Ardeche.  I wondered if you might be will to share the name of the storage site you use in the Ardeche?  Hoping you can help.  Best wishes. Ray.

That post of Valda's is almost 12 months old, Ray, and she may not spot your question but there is an email address in her profile.👍🏻

Hi Rayovlights  - I don't mind sharing the name of the site we use, but would rather do it by email.  Can you email me on valdaathome@gmail.com which is an address I use for forum stuff.

Were still storing our caravan, annually for 180 euros - perhaps more in 2020.  It's outdoor storage, but we use a cover and that protects the caravan.  The storage is directly adjacent to the site, secure, and fenced, with the family living nearby.  Jerome (part of the family who owns the site) brings out the caravan to a pitch of our choice, and takes it away when we leave - and this is included in the price.  We pay the normal tariff for nights we stay on site, (ACSI price 14 euros in low season) but we often tow the caravan off elsewhere. Generally we have a day or two on site at the beginning and end of our trips.

The site is very French - hardly any other British visitors, can be a bit full-on for two or three weeks in peak season, but otherwise can be quiet.  There is a heated pool open all season, good clean sanitary blocks, with one section heated in low season, there's a bar and a restaurant, and a take-away in peak season.  Supermarket within a mile and a half, with cheap fuel, and a little local shop within walking distance.  There's also a caravan dealer and accessories shop in walking distance and they do caravan servicing (but we haven't asked if they do UK vans).

There are a lot of French families who have a pitch which they use all season - some come and go at weekends, some are there for longer periods, but over the weeks quite a little community builds up with barbecues, invites for drinks, boules, etc.
