A bit more detail might elicit some responses.  Southern Spain covers an enormous area from the Portuguese border to, well, the Costa Blanca I suppose.  What do you want, a coastal holiday or inland?  How long is your trip? When would you be going? Children? Animals? Caravan or Motorhome?etc etc.foot-in-mouth

Depends what you like doing, but we very much enjoyed a four nights at La Campina, Santaella, which is handy for a visit to Cordoba and was on our bucket list during our 3-month trip around Spain and Portugal in 2015.  It is run by a lovely friendly couple (he is Dutch) and they gave us some very handy tips for visiting Cordoba where we enjoyed La Mesquita very much.  The site was small and informal, planted with shrubs and trees, quite dusty while we were there as the temperatures were well in the 30's, so much so that we decided to ditch a planned stay to visit Seville.  Facilities were very clean, including a nice pool area.

We also stayed at Alto de Vinuelos, near Granada, for a couple of nights but didn't venture into the city as we had done it many years ago.  I believe a bus service runs past the site.  Small and functional.  We were able to use ACSI which made our stay economical.
