The future of caravanning
I do not expect to be here in 2030 end of diesel engines, however I am still curious to know what will happen.
Have just read an article, which said that electric car makers have to apply for authority to tow caravans but they do not do so because they know that they are incapable of effectively towing caravans. So what is the future? What case , for example, is the CC making to the government and other authorities about the inefficiency of electric vehicles? I understand the need to have clean car engines. Surely car scientists can produce the necessary engines, thus keeping the economy working. As an addition I do not understand how the thousands of lorries on the motorways of euope can be replaced with electric engines. Decision makers need to keep their feet on the floor

I shouldn't worry about it the government change their mind all the time but if they dont just wait until the last minute and buy a new diesel car and you are sorted for at least another 10 years.

I think you are way behind the times cloch, with the change to PHEV & pure EV vehicles well underway already. Have you actually driven an EV? You should try one, you might be surprised.
