They might be where you are.  Our Morrisons were charging 1.29 for diesel when I filled up a couple of days ago.

Prices where I live are normally higher than the PK card, so I'm looking forward to receiving it and getting saving.

    Rowena

There is no company called "Braintree Payments Limited" that I can trace. Looking at the web link you have provided "Braintree" would appear just to be a label for "Paypal" trading through its/one of its  Luxembourg company. However on balance that may not be a bad thing since Paypal are a trusted name.

Braintree do exist, Paypal bought them out a few years ago.

Thank you for the reply however when signing up nowhere are we advised that payments will be processed through any company called Braintree.  This is not mentioned in the T&Cs and neither is it mentioned however to resolve a payment dispute.

I think that this needs to be escalated to the FOS as this a vary valid reason for a complaint.  BTW there is no complaints procedure in place in the event of a dispute like double dipping etc and I am sure that the FOS wil frown on this.

Secondly if this has been 2 years in the making how come the company Pump King was only formed in April 2018 and has not track record etc?

I just received my email from Pump-King (despite the continued lack of any response to my previous emails to them) advising that I'll be getting yet another card!

I read on these 800+ posts about how so many people can't seem to get even one card that they've applied for, and now I'm expecting my 3rd!

just had a reply to my email from pump-king,  everyone will be issued with new cards and new pin numbers, as of 19th feb,  due to the amount of technical issues, hope this gets sorted as I am in a rural area so no discounted supermarket fuel for me nearest one is 40 miles.

I applied for this card in early December. Two days later having studied the Terms & Conditions and having done a company search on PK Fuels Limited I decided it was not for me. I contacted them by email and by letter cancelling my application in accordance with the T&Cs and asked them to remove my details from their records. No reply to either but after chasing them and CAMC I got an email confirming my account was cancelled. They did not confirm that they had Deleted User my details from their database. Since then I have received 2 cards! Today I have received an email telling me that I will receive a new card by 19/02. This company are totally useless and you cannot be sure that your info is safe with them. The CAMC should be ashamed of tieing up with such a disreputable organisation. Avoid!

Going by the few members commenting on here (not number of posts - as it seems to be the people most of the time) there must be a large number of satisfied members.

To be fair, I did see mention of Braintree. Can't remember where exactly but think it was on the pages advertising the offer

the below was given by ecommerce1 staff way back in November

As a custodian of member data and in compliance with GDPR, the Club has made sure that your data is safe. Your data is stored by a very reputable company, Braintree. Braintree is part of PAYPAL. In addition your address, email and mobile number will not be used for any third party reasons.

There are a lot of posters in this thread who do not usually appear on the forum, Goldie, and who knows how many more are reading without posting. It seems to me to be far more than a 'few members' posting.

I've no doubt there are many satisfied people but I’ve not seen this many unfamiliar posters appear since the fiasco that was COTY, or the rebranding. That, I think, tells its own story in terms of what a major debacle this scheme seems to be.

We saw the advert in the Club magazine in early December  as I did not bother with the this forum.  It was only when we started having issues that I joined this thread and then  realised that I was not alone!

BTW we topped up today and the card was declined which was embarrassing for my wife when she tried to make a payment.  Luckily we had a debit card in the vehicle however no discount!

It is going from bad to worse!

agree this is a debacle, but i would suggest that there are thousands of satisfied users out there including members of this club, and this card was not unique to this club.

30 different posters on here maybe with a valid grievance. Lack of communication from the club is the 1 big downer, but Shell card was a fiasco also and that was pump king i seem to recall, 2 years ago ???  Used my card again today, still works , thank youlaughing

Speculating on numbers is just that but our own eyes show us the evidence stated here over 85 pages. It’s a poor show.frown

I am in agreement with you, however, 85 pages of mainly complaints, but what do the club do about this, nothing.

2 fuel cards promoted, 2 that went horribly wrong, the Shell card is now only valid for motorway use but originally was issued and then withdrawn for all Shell stations, I have checked back this was also pump king.

Dont even know what COTY was ?

You have been a long serving member, what is the way forward?, how can we prevent this type of fiasco happening again.

For me i will soldier on as a member and just pick out the best bits relevant to me, after all i only came to this forum for the overseas section originally.undecided

I got "the email"from pump king this morning ,and as I was not getting any texts before and the card details were never shown on my account ,will have to see what transpires this time,

I would like to know if the problems are also affecting the several other "CLUBS"that have also been given this offer?

COTY - Caravanner Of The Year. The TV series which will ever be remembered for the Chairman attempting to rip the back off his caravan.

If I knew the way forward and how to prevent the club keep making faux pas, I'd perhaps be very well paid for running the show, Rufs, rather than sitting here posting on the forum like you.😀

who know's but i remember receiving a phone call i think maybe the day after the CMHC launched this promotion, asking me to re-register as the launch had been made too soon and the computers were not ready or words to that effect, I was also promised a £5 credit for my troubles, dont think i ever received this. How many people were like me and jumped in quickly which put the system into melt down before it kicked off

maybe others from other clubs were not so quick off the mark and the roll out went relatively smoothly, who knows, all this is purely speculative.

i am 72 but must have been living in the dark ages, never saw COTY, but not a great TV fan, only used once in caravan and that was Charles/Diane wedding.

I see the club have a very nice garden display in East Grinstead town square so they can do something right, or maybe you were responsible for that , only joking wink

Made £15 on my card now, so i am sure there are others out there that do many more miles than me who could be potentially saving a fortune. This is based on my nearest Shell garage which is £1.29 per ltr diesel.

    img -  Cut up Card

Oh what a shame.  There are people who collect defunct cards, and you could have got £15 for that on e-Bay due to its rarity.

We’ll see - have asked for my account to be closed and bank details Deleted User via CMC staff member. Apparently actioned, still waiting confirmation but waiting seems to be the key characteristic of this scheme. undecided
