We finally got our card, only to find diesel was only a penny cheaper than at our local Esso.  A penny is still a saving but we were expecting more.

Looks like the 'offer' prices  have risen in the last few weeks but the pump prices have dropped.

But then the 8/o replays have been answering as far  as possible multiple posts about the same thing,I would not expect a reply to each post, and I would think that as with most things jobs these days it is only a part of someone's workload in all the companies involved

Having had my card last week I thought I would give it a try yesterday (being brave after all the negative comments and complaints) to my embarasment after filling up to be told that my pin number was invalid after double checking on my account the number I used is the one that is showing on the account. I have E mailed and waiting a response.

Has anybody else had this problem?

I presume you then had to pay be some other means at the pump price?

Yes, it appears that others have had similar problems with their pin numbers not working. Not that this helps youundecided

and in your estimate, how many people are using the card with no problems vs people having problems. I for one have had a card since it was first promoted, have used 3 times probably saved in the region of £13  vs my most local petrol station, Asda nearest supermarket and as you probably know this area of Newgate lane is a traffic nightmare so getting into and out of the Asda petrol station can be quite challenging, yes there are times when traffic not too bad but it is always a gamble. Much easier to drive to Park Gate, do some shopping and top up. works for me laughing

Each to their own, eh? I decided from the start that it wasn’t for me and I know I made the right decision for me. However, if it works for you, Rufs, saves you a few quid and gives you no hassle, then that’s the right choice for you.

    Pump King Warning

They have started taking money out of my account twice for the same transaction.

Numerous e-mails and telephone calls no reply. I've even started to copy the club in, and they don't get a reply from them.

Has the club, carried out any due diligence on this company? well I have, PK Fuels registered as a company in April 2018, Experian rate the company as HIGH RISK !!! Do I have to resort to the small claims court to get me money back ??

I've stopped using them please check your bank statements.

So this is still happening despite them saying it was a glitch that has been rectified.  You are not alone with the double dipping as we experienced it a few weeks ago as per my post in this thread.

Unfortunately it seems that the CC is turning a blind eye to this continued practice?

Not sure if it is still occurring as Sgiley posted the same in 'stories' section today saying that the incident happened on 5th January from memory. Maybe it is no longer happening but repayment not yet received?

In the first instance, I'd ask your bank to refund.

Good advice👍🏻, the Bank will be listened to far quicker than a customer. Banks also have the power to act swiftly & bring the power of the law down swiftly to bear.

    That call wasn't from Esso.

020 3468 8578 is the Pump King number.

If you click on the highlighted offer at the end of the opening post a note has been added about demand and supply. However, to me,  the accounting errors are more of a concern when I read some of the comments on here.

The website name has changed. It no longer is myesso etc.

If interested maybe use the CC promo code on site below. Or wait for somebody to post that uses the organisation which seems poor on communication. The wepage change is mentioned bu a member elsewhere in this thread. Googling gives URL if it is correct; I know not if it is a safe link.

Out of interest, I wonder if you folk who are struggling to register for an Esso card have read the problems recorded in this thread?

Briefly - there are huge delays, almost total lack of communication, PINs not working, website changing AND payments being taken twice.

    😤😤😤

    Just a huge cock-up!

I get diesel at £1.26 per litre locally, so think I can manage without Esso card and all the hassle.

I wonder if Pump King have officially notified the CC offers department about the change in website? CC offers section certainly does not have it.

Difficult to know whether CC is incompetent, Pump King or both frown

It's fairly easy to read up info on the card "offer" and there are now FAQs which explain things a bit further. People need to remember that Pump King is just a trading name for PK Fuels Ltd. They are using WEX for the card services, normally these might be company providers but in this instance it's a consumer product ie a card that club members can use rather than a company fuel card.

It looks like Feb 15th 2019 is the expected date when applications should be sorted due to high demand?

    LINK to FAQs

Personally I think the club could be helping consumers more by referring them to updates on the OP.

PS Said without prejudice, don't take my word for it, it's a complicated chain pf providers! I have lost track myself. See also the Braintree link on the FAQs...
