Hi everyone, The My Esso Card website has been unavailable temporarily due to site maintenance and during this time has defaulted to the Pump King website.  Please note you can still access your My Esso Card account by visiting https://pump-king.co.uk/welcome and can continue to use your My Esso Card.

PK Fuel Limited and My Esso Card apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    Thanks Rowena,

However, there are still some questions that,I for one, would like an answer to

    The change to the T & C's?

How long will it be before the original website is rectified?

The lack of replies from Pump-King, which doesn't help with my confidence in this offer?

The double charging when using the card?

Obviously, the C&MC are only a promoter of this deal BUT as I, like others, can't get any replies from Pump-King you would appear to be the one who may be able to answer these points.

    Thanks in advance.

I can’t log in to access my PIN and they’ve ignored about 6 emails so far. Complete waste of time, wish I hadn’t bothered. I’m now directing my efforts at getting my non accessible account cancelled as I don’t have any confidence in this organisation. It’s about time the Club dumped them given the incompetence demonstrated in previous postings in this thread. Unbelievably bad!!

Finally got my card and I find the supposed savings are rubbish.

The text I got this week of £1.25.3 for diesel is exactly the same as the local super markets , so no saving at all.

Waste of time, strange the savings have disappeared now we get the cards!!

Still waiting for my card from 1st December, no replies from My Esso Card or whatever it is called now! Had messages from the Club telling me they are very sorry and that a replacement card is being sent, that was 3 days ago and still waiting. Now discover that the card has changed name as well as website being changed and the T&C have been altered without pre warning to those that have signed up!

Members on here are asking the club to get involve (which they should), but lo and behold the only message from them arrives at 16:37 just before they close for the week-end.

Just what have we been allowed to get into here? The club should hold their heads in shame for not hepling their members and for not going into this beforehand.

According to what was said at the beginning if the pump price is the same as the text then you should get 1 pence less than the pump price!

Just got my weekly txt and unleaded is £1.183 - our local Asda is £1.137!

Thought this was meant to save money!

It only saves money if you want to buy Shell fuel.

This new offer from the caravan and motorhome club for myessocard becomes more laughable each week. When I got the email notifying me of the deal I was a little sceptical but I thought it must be OK as the club are supporting it.  Before my card arrived the discount was averaging 8p per litre for regular unleaded and diesel compared to local Esso forecourt prices. Last week just before the card arrived the offer price went up yet pump prices at my local Esso station went down. Card arrived this week, offer price for regular fuel has gone up again for next week whilst local forecourt prices are down again. (Based on PetrolPrices.com website) To make things more laughable I can now buy Jet unleaded 4p per litre cheaper and diesel at the same as my offer price from Esso for the next week in a small town on a regular local route. So you can guess the next bit supermarkets in bigger towns are cheaper still!!
Is it a con I was asking myself? Then I read on here of changes to websites and T&C's and people being overcharged. Is it really a professional organisation?? I am still prepared to give it a try when out touring providing it's on my route but it certainly isn't worth going off the planned route for.
Like many more people I didn't get any satisfaction when asking Pumpking where my card was. I am not holding my breath for a satisfactory answer this time. Or is someone going to surprise me?

I note that this week's text giving the upcoming prices has originated from PumpKing not MyESSOCard as before.

Very long time for web-site maintainance to be going on.

And of course (if any one is counting) still no card from applying in November!

Website down for a change of T&Cs perhaps.

No minimum but a max of 5 litres and must be in a plastic container with a left hand thread wink

I waited about 8 weeks to receive the card I used it today for the first time. I generally use a supermarket but thought I'd give the expensive Esso station a go. I put £92 worth of diesel in and that's exactly what I was charged. It's not clear how this works maybe it's discounted before it's taken from my card? If not I'll not be using it again. Living in Bath the fuel is always expensive as Esso have driven all the smaller operators out so with only 3 filling stations in the city they charge what they like.

Any company that doesn't even put up a maintenance / redirection page is creating the impression of a fly-by-night bunch of amateurs.

Now, I may be doing them a dis-service and if so then I shall enjoy a large dollop of custard on my humble-pie in due course.

Their system allows you to change payment card details, but not much else. Cannot even change mobile number, address etc. Basic personal data changes that should be possible for any scheme like this.

jujake, your till receipt will show what the true price would be before the discount, you will find that what is taken from your bank reflects the ltrs x the price indicated each Friday by essocard for the relevant fuel. Yes this promotion has been a shambles, however, I seem to be one of the lucky ones who got a card reasonably promptly and have used it 3 times without problems.

I think people should remember that we do not all live close to supermarkets who can discount fuel because of the large volumes they sell and use it as a tool to get you into their stores, nor do we live close to cut price garages, but as for me, I have 2 Esso stations within spitting distance, and due to family comitments use quite a bit of fuel. Each to their own.

there are a number of members on this forum banging on about how useless the card is or how poor the roll out has been, but a number made it quite clear at the onset that they were not interested in the card so why they keep stoking the flames i really dont know.

Here are the fuel prices since beginning of December

    £1.26

    £1.26

    £1.23

    £1.21

    £1.23

    £1.25

Average saving of 6p a litre for us.  In the meantime Morrisons were doing a deal that if you spent £50 on groceries you would get £0.10 off a litre.  Also the Gulf service station about 8 miles from us their price has been constant at £1.26 for the same period.

It would be very nice if someone at the C C came back to us regarding the changed T& Cs.

We live in a high fuel price area so any discount is welcome. Even with this weeks price it is still cheaper the Morrison’s our only supermarket. Appreciate promotion has got of to a shaky start but let’s hope it will settle down and work out OK (always the optimist). It is not often we can make use if CMHC offers due to our location

    Oops sorry I missed out one;

Here are the fuel prices since beginning of December

    £1.26

    £1.26

    £1.23

    £1.19

    £1.21

    £1.23

    £1.25

Seems the price is increasing and the savings are getting less.  I am beginning to think it may have been one way to mine our data to sell onto a third parties?  We have cancelled and have requested a new debit card tor replace the old one as we are very concerned having had our account double dipped plus many years ago an unauthorised withdrawal.

    Surfer,

I am beginning to think it may have been one way to mine our data to sell onto a third parties?

never had the experience of having my card misused, however, if you have ever bought anything online, used paypal, given your card details out on the telephone when purchasing insurance etc., then you are vunerable.

have your ever thought about what happens to those customer friendly tape recordings that are made, which they keep for 12 months, somewhere in the icloud, when you make a purchase over the telephone giving your card details, not all employ technology whereby you tap in your card details using the telephone keypad. There is an article in the press today, headline "Major banks are hit by IT glitches every single week" as we all know from the horror stories, yes somebody will get scammed using this card no doubt, but there are thousands out there already using this card, it is not just a CAMHC card.

My online account has been active for some time now, showing all details except the card number, I still have no card but I noticed today the PIN number given has been changed, my confidence in this is deminishing by the day.

The lack of support from both the club and pump king who seem unwilling to offer any customer support is only adding to my doubts that I have entered into something that even if I receive my card I will be unwilling to risk using.

I found the same with mine and the card turned up yesterday, so your's may be imminent!

However, like you and others, I have to say that the lack of communication from both parties is deafeningundecided

I would want some re-assurance from both before I contemplate using the card, failing that I'm sure I can manage without it, I have done so farwink

Ordered my card on Thur 3 Jan, it arrived this morning, so just over 2 weeks.

I suspect that a lot of the communications issues are due to simply being completely overloaded with people trying to contact them. Not making excuses etc, but if you imagine that they weren't expecting so many people to take up the offer, they may just be getting completely swamped with people asking where their card is etc.

Hopefully things will settle down over the next couple of weeks, and people can start enjoying the benefits!

I think I will wait a couple of weeks before using my card, and see how it goes!

    Update as promised.

I bought some fuel on Wednesday 16th.

I noticed the next day that my fuel card number had now appeared on the login page all correct.

The pin number has been there for sometime and never changed.

I have just logged on again now to find an receipt has been added and is exactly the amount in should be according to the texted price.

I logged onto online banking and can see the correct amount has been authorised for debiting and will come out of my account early next week.

I will keep alert to the possibility of a double charge but assuming that doesn't happen all seems fine to me.

I am quite happy to be getting what I believe to be fuel with the benefit of added cleaners at a worthwhile saving over our local supermarket price.

I will update again if any issues occur but it seems that this scheme will be fine if they overcome the current overload problems

Do you think the club could have someone from pump king to answer questions on their stand at the nec ?

Or is that too much to ask ?
