Thanks guys! I will find the box and try to re- pair it. It’ll be interesting to see if it does. Beyond that I might have to seek professional help.

Response from Sargent:- "If you have good range elsewhere and you only have difficulties in arming/disarming at home. I would try to find what electrical equipment in your house interfere with radio signal first. It can be transformer, electric generator, charger based close to the caravan/inside the caravan, aerial. (ie. Once we had customer who said that electric shutters in his garage interfered alarms range.)"

I have tried the more obvious things so need to decide how much time I spend trying to locate problem and best ways to go about it,

I would try to switch off the mains supply at home and see if the problem is still there before searching further.

A number of years ago we had a problem with one of the fobs. That stopped us setting the alarm unless it was 3 brick walls and 50' away. Then the other one worked fine.

Will try that although van is about 20 metres from the house with garage in between. I have turned all the electrics off in the garage and that made no difference. There is a telephone cable which goes over the garage and I am wondering if that might cause an issue but would need to tow the van up and down the lane to see if it works anywhere else and not sure I can be bothered!!
