Has anyone heard any feedback on this site ? theres only 1 review on the club website and it's not good, we are off to the Ile de Re soon and it looks a good central location but not sure if we want to chance it, we fancy being near ish to La Flotte as we've heard good reports about it, thanks.

then try La GRainetiere on the La Flotte bypass...Eric and Isobel will make you most welcome, fabulous pool, stroll into town, shops closeby, biking everywhere...

    cheap ACSI price too....

We looked around before Huttopia took it over, so I don't know what changes have been made since then.

It was in every way a campsite utterly and totally different from a classic Club site in the UK . I can't imagine a greater contrast. Pitches were rather haphazard and scattered in the pine forest. The ground was uneven and sandy. Well over half the site was given over to static accommodation of several sorts so touring pitches were limited. The clientele was young, and as it was school holidays  there were lots of children and bikes. The staff were young too. The toilet/shower block was not as this Club would have designed it.

You will either love the casual informality or you will say it's a scruffy place. I don't know which. The families there when we walked around were having a relaxed, outdoor, enjoyable time, but in September it might be pretty dead.  So I would say go and have a look and see what you think - you can always move on if you don't like it.

Is this the site? I think Huttopia specialise in sites that are informal/back to nature type sites as detailed by ET above. It can't be that popular with Brits as there are no reviews on UKCampsites. The link I have put in goes to Tripadvisor, not my first stop for reviews, but a bit of Hobson's Choice I think! Those reviews will not all be from people using their own caravan or motorhome.

We enjoyed Flower Camping Bel Air at La Flotte in June this year. Just a short walk or cycle to the town and port. See our 'Story' for photos.

Thanks it looks great with good reviews. i'm assuming the by pass won't be a problem with traffic noise as it'll be September, it's a contender.

We didn’t bother in the end as we wanted somewhere a bit nearer to a town/village so we opted for Les Peuplers near La Flotte but our first choice La Grainterrie was fully booked up for tourers, I must say though this site is great.
