    Good that you've come back to the thread debnian. And you might describe MHers that way but I couldn't possibly comment! wink

    As you're, presumably, fairly new members to the club, have you got your handbook yet? My advice, for what it's worth is still to have a look at possible CLs in places you want to visit and then check them out on CT together with user reviews. That way you can be pretty sure of the peace and quiet you want and, if you choose wisely, still have that decent shower! smile

    BTW, if you wanted to start a thread asking for suggestions of suitable sites, you'd probably be inundated with replies from those of us who can recommend them! smile

    Thankyou again. We are going to leave it til a bit later in the year to make our first trip anyway. Obviously, I will use the handbook to find a site for that. I was just planning ahead for next year. Kind regards Debbie

    Just go for it. At worst you may find an Eddie Stobart lorry sharing your quiet hideaway, or in rural Wales or Scotland a timber lorry parked up for the night.

    Hi Debnian. What an introduction to the weird and wonderful Club Together. Glad to hear you had a giggle. Enjoy the new freedom and fun you will have with your MH. I'm with the posters who recommend CLs with good showers. Come back on when you need it, and we'll give you a list. And I have one in Bordeaux for you, if you ever head that way. The finest shower I've ever had on any campsite, not just a CL. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided! And a disposal point enclosed in a little jasmine covered pergola. Never seen anything like it.

    laughing Naughty, DD. That's not how I meant it. And I can recommend one in Cumbria too. I just love the choice I have both here and 'over there'. I'm just a happy camper, is all.

    Had to larff when in Portugal a year or two back, watching the wild campers lift the sewer manhole covers, at night, to discharge their waste, hoping that no one in authority would catch them.

    Not at one of the club sites that for sure because they don’t allow that either!
