Low bridge in Dijon?
We are going to Dijon in June and have read about the low bridge on the approach to the Camping Du Lac campsite. We are coming from the north and wondered if it is possible to avoid the low bridge, our motorhome is 3m high, in the sat nav the height is set at 3.0m. I did email the site a week ago but as of yet I have not had a reply.
Thanks in advance.

If you have access to Google Earth it might be worth having a look on Street View as you might be able to see the 'real' height.

PS
Just had a check on Google Street View and sign clearly says 3 metres although its straight and not arched. The photo doesn't really show it very well.

Just make sure you come from the netto end of the main road (the road above the bridge). If you come from the ring road thats where the sign tells you to go under the bridge but drive past and up to the top of the road (by the netto store) and there a roundabout to come back on the side that doesnt need it.

good advice from Graham and a lovely picture from DK....
just add a couple of waypoints to your satnavs route to ensure it avoids the bridge.....and then check it.....and check it again......
we are 2.90m and i went under a 3.2m low bridge in Marseilles this week......was a bit concerned even with that margin......but OK...phew!.
