Campsites suitable for a trip to Gibraltar

Gogling the above question really gives me two options:

Camping Sureuropa which is a short bike ride from the border but the reviews I've seen are quite old, or

Camping La Casita Cadiz which doesn't have particularly great reviews.

Has anyone tried these two campsites or has got any other suggestions for two nights.

This is quite an old thread on Caravan Talk but it might help with a few suggestions.

We travel down too Andalusia a couple of times a year and when visiting Gibraltar we have used this site quite a few times, new site about two years old and a 45 minutes drive away.

Another option is the motorhome aire in the Marina just 200 yards away from the border, if you don't need electricity for the night I cant see why they wont let you use it as it is only a car park for Motorhomes and I think the cost now is 12euros a night.

    Hi,

We stayed at Camping Sureuropa last year so as to visit the Rock, it is adequate with good pitches (high kerbs are a problem for caravans) and shower block. It is good to visit the Rock, taxi,s are reasonable, but there are no shops, bars or restaurants nearby. It is ok if you just need a base but not a holiday. Beware the wild cats, do not try petting as they are wild

Thank you everyone for your views.

We have decided to stay at Camping Sureuropa and were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived this morning. The site really is pristine with all the sand being raked by the "special needs " workers who all looked very happy. Booking in was very easy and we were escorted to our pitch by the check in girl. It reminds us of a CL and can thoroughly recommend it to others. There are around 7 other units on site at present ( all MHs).

    Facilities are very good.

We cycled into Gibraltar this afternoon and went up to the top of the rock by cable car. We did intend to stay  for two nights but have seen a lot this afternoon so will leave in the morning
