Was reading this earlier and as so many members have dogs, thought it would be a good idea to raise awareness of the risks when throwing sticks for dogs. Link here
I remember this warning being 'given' out when I was a child. Very rare incident but so tragic when it happens. Have heard of balls causing similar problem when caught awkwardly and blocking dog's windpipe resulting in the occasional deaths.
