Insurance, Driving in North America
There's a new Ron/Roff service started from Liverpool to Halifax Nova Scotia in March this year. I'm booked with my motorhome for 4 months away sailing in a few weeks time.
If I had an address in America I can get insurance but if I live in the UK (which I do) I'm finding it impossible. I've approached agents, brokers, motoring associations and both camping/motorhome clubs but none can even give me details of any company that will provide cover for the states for 4 months. I've got travel insurance, that's not a problem but getting insurance to actually drive my own motorhome in America is proving frustrating to say the least.
Anybody got any ideas? - other than buying a house in America!

Sea bridge Tours have information about it on their website saying they can arrange insurance as well as shipping. It's a German company but they have a website in English and it may be worth talking to them about your requirements. They say they have made arrangements for 7000 other motorhomers doing what you are doing so sound to be a pretty experienced company.
