If you took an area of Europe the same size as the UK, I can't help thinking that perhaps Site choice would be a tad more difficult. Plus the cultural differences might impact as well? How long does the opening season last for touring sites? I am happy to be corrected of course, in fact expect to be within a couple of hours at the most.

Took us nearly 4 weeks to go that far North when we were last up there, and that was from S.Cumbria!wink

That’s because we pushed on with the ferry to the Northern Isles in our sights. Other years have seen us taking our time. smile

'Twas not you I posted the comment for TW, as you well know how long we take touring about. Fortunately we've no reason to go charging around the country, as we've plenty of time on our hands....but I still like to know that I've a pitch there for me after a tow.

Well that seems to have started a discussion thanks for all your feedback. I am looking forward to find out which side I will come down on. I do not want to have to book up every time I leave home I just like to find a place and stay for a few days. We are both members of the Nat trust and English heritage so we usually have things to occupy us for a few days then we move on.

I have no problem with sitting in a field withe no services as everything we need is on and in the caravan. Once again thanks for you feedback.
