Towing under 2m tall still free on French Peage?

I understand that towing a caravan 2m or less tall has added nothing to the toll for just a solo car on French Autoroute peage sections. It explains why our French caravan, built in 2000, is exactly that height!

Please can anyone confirm that this is still the case in 2018, before we unintentionally transgress?

Thanks.

Class one toll applies to vehicles and trailers "under 2 metres high".  It's all there on line with little pictures to guide you.

Thanks greatly. I obviously didn't find the right bit of On Line, sorry!

    Good morning.

    Be aware.

A friend of ours who lives in France says he's seen the Gendarmes measuring the length of cars and trailer combinations at the Peage on the A28 with a tape measure.

Anything over ten metres long goes up a Classe.

I've just looked at the ASFA website for French motorways and cant see any reference to length of a car/caravan combination?

It shows Categories are determined by 3 vehicle parameters -

    Overall height

Gross vehicle weight (GVW) which refers to towcar only

    Number of Axles
