Hi all,

planning a trip to the Dordogne in May. Thinking of having our first stop at Arras. Would welcome suggestions for an Aire and any attractions in the area, don't want to miss anything !

thanks in advance

A fine city, well worth a short visit. Just a quick Google search will give you ten photos and 68 opinions about the town centre Motorhome aire on the Campercontact website.

in addition to the campercontact details, this from park4night...with 5 photos....

"Slightly sloping. very busy especially if something on at exhibition centre. Easy to find.Poor standard of facilities for a town worth a good visit. Road noise ALL night long"

just a tight car park next to a road, so not the of the best camper stops but...have to make a judgement call.....the city seems worth the visit.

Friends really didn't like the Aire in Arras.  He does 'WW1 tours' so they felt they needed somewhere they could enjoy as well as just park, so they stayed south west at Camping de la Sensee at Aubigny au Bac.  (Website looks a 'bit full on' but they had no complaints.

Don't forget to do one of the Underground Tours - Wellington Tours and Bove Tunnels - not been for a long time but was stunning then and apparently has been improved.
