The February C C & MH show is getting closer now. I'm determined to be there on 20th Club Day with my £4:50 OAP ticket & I'll be looking round all those lovely accessory stalls. Then I'll probably have to get my van's max load up rated 
.
So now you know what Brian's adoing, what are you lot going to look at / for please ??

I’m travelling up to Chapel Lane on the Sunday, 200 mile tug. Visiting the show on Club Day, also using the cheap voucher. We are hoping to go to Europe a couple of times this year (first time with van) so want to visit as many displays and pick as many brains for advice as possible.
Stopping at Morton in Marsh for the rest of the week on the way back. Not been there before.

re the show, we will give it a miss as more than happy with the van despite its 10 years. The change now regrettably when it comes will we suspect be a life-changing move to a panel van motorhome, our own age pushing us that way.

Good Luck with the Knee Jobbie David, my nephew {Ex Blues & Royals} had his done in late November and he's only now fully mobile. It was his own fault in the first place for letting his horse use him as a trampoline !!

well I wasn't planning on going but got an unexpected message a couple of days ago from Lunar, I commented on a post on their facebook page a while ago and apparently they are now sending me two free tickets ! (oh the irony!)
Unfortunately we can't manage Club day as I have my grandaughter that day but possibly wednesday

Still looking like the Saturday for the show. Went to see the anesthetist about the knee. He's now referring me to a neurologist as I'm getting some numbness in my feet 'to be on the safe side' - although it is not uncommon with osteoarthritis. Looks like the knee will be delayed a bit - what a surprise!!!
Looking forward to that cheese, ABM.

Numbness in the feet worries us Diabetics a hell of a lot, David -- for us it's almost sure sign of too high sugars for some time. Scares the bejasus out of ME
'cos the cure for the numbness is amputation in the end. Diabetes is the number one cause of loss of lower limbs and nobody wants to go down THAT route .Best wishes for a much better outcome,

P.S. First 10 of this years sites booked this afternoon, more to come this evening so I'll definitely be buying my favourite Carbohydrates

My endocrinogy consultant checks me regularly for diabeties and I know that is OK. It's far more likely to be pressure on some spinal nerve because of worn discs - that's what my money is on! I'll let you know how I get on - eventually! Enjoy the carbohydrates!! 😀😀

Only two (2) sleeps now before the Braving of the M6 occurs
** and I'm very busy thinning out the shopping list from 12 pages to something more affordable & reasonable . Do hope to see somebody from CT on CLUB STAND at 13:00 ==> 14:00 { A B M s lunch time }** and if its clear & sunny, I just might need those shades !!

So how did everyone find it today? I'm hearing it was quiet. We confirmed our next purchase over the phone so we got the benefit of the show without the travel.

I found it quiet Catherine, but then I was quite early 10:15 thro the turnstiles so to speak. No "CT " Area on the club Stand again, Only happened the first year, when I met Rowena, David DSB, Bugs with his camera , and a couple more.
Was too busy ambling round the bits n bobs stalls to see the Official Opening, & had no difficulty getting to and round them for the stuff I wanted. As I posted on "Whats tha' at now" I only saw One Non-CMC person I knew, and one Very Much A CT Person I.E. Merve the Off Grid Expert. He hailed me fortunately 'cos to my eternal shame I did not recognise him.
At least Brian was in his CT Badged polo shirt. Did not go into any caravans or M/vans 'cos I am happy with what I've got, & honestly doubt if I could afford the ones I'd like any way.
Even less likely now that the nice people at H M R C left a letter for me to find on my return and in it have told me I've got to pay taxes again this year !

We were there today but we let the train take the strain on this trip rather than face any motorway. We had some Tesco Club Card vouchers going out of date so I invested in a Two Together Railcard so we got a discount on the fare. We didn't get into the Show until about midday (by the time we had,had a coffee) and I thought it was reasonably busy without being uncomfortable. I wanted to try and get an update on the new Calor cylinder but it seems that Calor were not at the Show which suggests it is still some way away? Had a chat to the Chairman who seems to be enjoying his new motorhome. I did, of course, mention Club Together to him and he seemed to think it wasn't being used a lot. I did explain that there was a lot of frustration about all the issues the forum suffers from. I did explain to him, which seemed to take him by surprise, that members don't understand by so much money has been invested in Social Media but we are always at the bottom of the pile when it comes to getting things sorted. Whether my intervention will cause any rethink we will have to wait and see but I suspect there are other projects in the pipeline that will keep us in the same position.

We visited yesterday. Had a look around the club area, however very busy and no obvious CT area, which seemed a bit of an omission.
Arrived at the halls at about 10:45 and went straight to Hall 3 which had most of the Motorhomes. At that time it was fairly quiet and we were able to get a good look at those that interested us. I don't think it will be this year we change, particularly as we have a seasonal pitch booked, perhaps early next. Of all those we looked at the Adria compact plus had more of what we wanted, except for an oven. Although a vented one can be dealer fitted if you loose one of the large drawers. It does seem a bit strange it isn't one of the many options on a van for the UK market. It was available with an auto box. A reasonable 6.6m length and good payload. 580 kg even after allowing for all the options.
A definite contender.

My wife was quite taken with the Adria last summer when we were researching MH's. The dealer where we bought our last caravan is an agent for them.

I am sure the Adria is a lovely van but your second photo would be a no no for us as the bunks are far too high. We wouldn't buy a van without the beds being at normal level as we would be concerned at missing a step in the middle of the night. We had a good look at the Bailey Advance range which has been revamped. The 66-2 would suit us but no garage and not as much storage as the Adria but smaller than we currently have. Margaret is not convinced we need to change so still some work to do there!!!

The steps for us were not an issue, as they are fairly wide and individually not high. As you we would prefer normal level, trouble is if you want a rear locker, as we do, they are difficult to avoid in a small van. Bashing your head on those rear lockers was an issue however. Although after a few bumps I am sure we would get used to them.😖

Our dealer sent me an email after I posted last night. Apparently to quote them it was "very slow" Fingers crossed it picks up today.

Cheese prices up, but only by £1 - and I got an extra 'wedge' of Black Bomber for that- well worth the Quid !
