Camping Cheques - The Future

Hi Val,The sites that I referred to in my previous posting were Beacon Fell,Whitehill Country Park and Rivendale Holiday Park.
All of these sites are listed in your list with Beacon Fell and Rivendale Holiday Park outlined in Bold.
I rang these sites based on my data base as I was not able to connect to Camping Travel Club website at the time.
It was Rivendale Holiday Park that advised that they were not accepting Camping Cheques for 2018.This site was also reported on in a previous post by a member that was posted a few days before my recent post. However,we both reported the same outcome to our enquiries on a separate basis.
Beacon Fell and Whitehill Country Park were the other two sites that I listed along with the comments.
I would advise members who are intending to use Camping Cheque as part of their travel plans in 2018,to make contact with the sites that they are intending to use,to check the current position etc.,
I notice on the recent sites to appear on the Camping Travel Club website, that it refers to Silver/Gold cards that will be debited for the stay but makes no mention of Paper Cheques.
Hope this posting is helpful to members.

Interestingly, I have had an email from the travel dept. offering me 5 Vouchers in lieu of the 5 Cheques that my ferry offer included. They did offer to allow the cheques but would only confirm their usage until the end of this year.
No skin off my nose so I've taken them up on the offer, particularly as they last through until the end of next year.

Yes, thanks Val, I've seen it but I'd already accepted the clubs offer. As it's the first time I would have used the cheques it didn't make much difference to me but I thought people might like to know that the club are contacting people who have taken them this year as part of a ferry offer.

It's not a rumour - but not strictly 'amalgamated'. The mega-corporation which now owns Camping Travel Club also owns Canvas Holidays, (and Tohapi........... and Hugo Boss, and New Look amongst many others!). As the announcement linked to in my post above says we can top up our 'cheques' at Canvas Holidays campsites, perhaps we'll also be able to top up our Gold Cards whilst buying a new outfit!
