Hi looking for some first hand recommendations for Dog friendly sites in Brittany or a bit further South,  I have 13 & 9 year old, so need swimming pools etc, and must have statics to let on site as another family are coming that don't have a Caravan, thanks all.

An easy way to start your search is to click Overseas Holidays at the top of this page, then Overseas Sites on the next page. They will all have statics to rent as well as pitches, and it's rare to find one which doesn't admit dogs.

Try a post on UKCS where there are many more contributors, and lots of posts about Brittany to have a look through

I have written first hand reviews on line for most places I have been to and there is not much more I can add. Just Google the name of your chosen site +reviews . Good wishes.

There will be reviews on here for sites the Club have a relationship with otherwise I would agree that it's worth having a look at UKCampsites for touring reviews. I am not a fan of Tripadvisor  but it might be useful for the static accommodation point of view. I think it would be an idea to narrow down the choice of sites please feel free to ask about specific sites as that is when you will get more detailed input from members.

I am never quite sure what people mean by "dog friendly"? The French are as dotty about their pets as the English are so I imagine that if the site accepts pets you should find them OK for your pets. I am not sure I have seen many dedicated dog walks on French sites and if you want to be near a beach in the main holiday season some beaches do have restrictions as they do in the UK.

    Hi Hollypop,

Hubby and i stayed on a Yelloh Village Site in Brittany called Mane Guernehue. It has mobile Homes you can hire. There is lots for the Kids . There is also a  walk around the Fishing areas for the dogs. Also have  look at Les Sables Blancs Nr Concarneau this is one of our favourite sites , there is a  lovely walk into Concarneau through the paths on site you can let the dogs off and it should take you 20 mins or so to walk into Concarneau which is such a  lovely place lots to do there . On the site there is a  lovely outdoor pool , and lovely restaurant food is good too. You can walk to the beach  but there is restrictions to when you can take the dogs on . You can also Hire a Mobile home too. We go out of season but for you with the kids it will work out more expensive .

Hi hollypop, It's worth taking a look at our overseas sites section. I know you are looking for first hand recommendations but there are some excellent reviews from members of the Club on the site pages that will hopefully be of help to you. I'm sure you will get more recommendations here too. Happy holiday hunting! cool

This is a good site to start some research from: https://www.eurocampings.co.uk/

Generally, France is more dog friendly than the UK so any site that says it admits dogs will probably be a good bet.

Try a Castels And Camping site near Carnac called La Grande Metairie very good site for kids and dogs and caters for both tourers and statics.
