We normally order direct from ACSI but forgot this year. The subscription is a "combi" which includes the iPad App, however, the Club is quite a bit cheaper so I assume that it does not include the App. If ordering from the Club do you have to apply for this separately?
I find the app far better than the books but you cant order it separately as far as I know.

Usually if you have a subscription then you get a reminder each year from ACSI in about September/October asking you to renew. However, not getting a reminder doesn't mean you won't receive the guide - as we found out the year before last when we reordered.
The Club price is 9 pounds 99 plus £2.50 postage (Total cost in pounds £14.49) - and from ACSI (including the App) is 12 euros 95 plus 3 euros 50 postage.(Total cost in pounds *£14.50 at today's conversion rate 6/12/2017)If you've already ordered the guide - but not the App - then inside the guide on the ACSI card itself, is a code and you can use that to order and download the App separately (ACSI Card sites only), Ordering the App this way will cost 3 euros 59
Of course transactions in euros may also incur currency and conversion fees if you don't have a fee-free debit or credit card. We have a fee-free card and always order directly from ACSI but compare prices at the time.

I have an ACSI subscription and have never had an email asking me to renew each year, it is automatic and ongoing payment, hence the subscription. I havent received mine yet but all I ever use is the card & the App, which I find to be fantastic really when compared to the books. Regards, Roy

I’m a bit reluctant to use the ACSI webstore due to an issue two years ago where we had a series of emails informing us that we hadn’t paid. In the end I had to send proof of purchase by post. The cheapest way to get the app. and books is by a subscription for the “combi” package but it is an automatic annual card debit two years minimum continuing unless you cancel which we tend to avoid. Furthermore, when I logged in today as a member it didn’t offer me the reduced member subscription price.
So, I am inclined to order from the Club except that the the picture shows the 2017 book not the 2018! Also, I then have to order the app. separately. All a bit too complicated!

I might just look on line to see whether any of our favourite sites in France have joined the ACSI scheme. I doubt if they will have done that, so we will probably not bother to buy the book.

I have annual combi subscription. Got my guides today. Apps already showing expiry end of next year. Invoice shows 14.95 euros + 3.5 delivery, total 18.45 euros. Mainly use app but always take guides with me. ValDa am I being over charged ?

M, i used the app (and loaded sites) a couple of years ago and have again subscribed for this coming year, but the data cant be loaded (accessed) until 1st Jan.
i also thought i'd try the 'motorhome stops' so am interested in seeing how this data compares to all my other sources (photos, perhaps?).

You only get the discounted price quoted in my earlier post for the first year. See here: ACSI Card pricing.
You'll see there are 'member' prices and 'non-member' prices. A member of ACSI is not just someone who has an account with them, but someone who buys the ACSI ID Card...... so the member price applies only to those who choose to spend extra on this.

I wish ACSI were as quick to update their website as they are to get the books out! These days many use t'internet more than books, so it would seem more useful to get the website updated first. This would be especially useful for those travelling during the early part of the New Year, searching for sites in warmer climes to while away a month or two. They could update the data on (say) 1st Decdember and start the 'search' facility at that date too - so that sites which remain open over that period were still available in the search results.
Archie' of Archie's Camping is usually the first to publish details of new ACSI sites (and those which have dropped out) probably as a result of painstaking work trawling through the newly arrived guide book!

Peedee, its available on the 1st Jan.
i had data for 2016 and seemed to be able to use it all the way through last year, too, although out of date.
i decided to update this year, paid for the sub, went to load the data and couldnt get it to work...
reloaded the app and (off course) lost all the old data.
not to worry, ive paid, ill load the new stuff.....tried several times and failed....emailed ACSI (who came back pretty smartish) to say that it is only available from 1st Jan.
PS......DO NOT PHONE ACSI from the UK (unless you are confident that Holland is in your 'inclusive package' as i did a few weeks ago on my mobile....its blooming expensive!

BB. There are cut price codes for international calls like that - Google will tell you how you only need to pay 1p or 2p per minute

The 2018 books arrived at the (excellent) Caceres, Spain campsite yesterday. They had most languages, EU 16.95. This is the only site I have ever seen them for sale! A great relief as it avoids playing a game of catch-up-with-the-books if posted out while on the move. (I only actually want the new card!).
It's worth noting that there are TWO different ACSI Apps ..... the "CC" App which is most commonly referred to, and which has the same info as the books (plus reviews) and is tied into the "CC" card.
There is also the (IMHO) much more useful ACSI App. This is free to download, but you then buy access to the individual countries you need (France is £2.99; UK is £1.49 etc). Access lasts 12 months from purchase. The listings include ALL the ACSI inspected sites, not just the ones that offer the ACSI rate. The discount sites are identified, but you have to look in the book (or the other App) for the actual rate/periods. This App is updated regularly - last update was November.

There are lots of sites in Spain which sell the ACSI Book - here's where to see them all. This is very useful for people who spend the winter in Spain.

The download site seems to be very busy right now. I updated one of my tablets early this morning without any problem but not so easy to log in just now. You can use it on up to three machines. I was tempted to try the motorhome data but I already have Camper Contact and doubted it would be much different. I would be interested to know what you think of it.

I have a combi subscription, now 3rd year, I didnt get an email but the package arrived first week in December. I do need to remember to switch my card, like ValDa, because I get spurious debits of 10 or 50p 2/3 times a year from ACSI Publishing. Dont know what these are for except banking, maybe! Watch this space, I will contact them tomorrow.

Meecee, you only need Internet access to download or update the maps and you can choose which countries to download. The app can take a few seconds to load so it is best not to download every country and to delete any that you dont need - you can always reload when needed.
There are a number of benefits over the books. The maps are very good at searching in a particular area and you can zoom in where there are a number of sites. Each site has a rating based on user reviews so you can see the top rated sites quite quickly (we find this very useful). There are a number of other features such as the ability to identify favourites. Well worth the small charge.
