    Thanks for the link brue.

Is it me or doesn' the page work properly? It says showing results 1-9 but only 5 appear. I've tried resorting by a-z and z-a but still the same ones show up. I've logged in same result. Tried by map, no good but there is a rally marked n the sea just above the equator 😂.

Advice on how to search and use gratefully accepted.

You need to click on the centre events and rallies section. I tried putting dates in from Jan 2018 to April 2018 and quite a few random rallies appeared. Not all the centres will have the programmes ready yet.

Thanks brue. Not easy 😉 but I'd missed centre part. Should know better by now with this website, it's not easy to use or user friendly 😤

I think each section should have a personal guide pointing out how to use it 😂😂😂

I think if it had been organised as it was previously when it was possible to type in an area/county with dates, everything came up easily. This time round no one has bothered to organise it so well and it's not user friendly.

I am told that entering the information into, the system, is guess what both user unfriendly and tedious.  So not all centres have uploaded their  2018 Rallies yet.  I have been told but can’t remember when the deadline for doing this is.  I think it is better to search individual centre websites for information.

A good idea Boff, I should have added that too. My own centre hasn't got their programme out yet but according to their web site it is imminent.

Our’s, Cheshire Centre, came out about 10 day’s ago.  Tbh I find the list on this website next to useless.  A couple of years ago I searched for and failed to find some Rally’s that I knew for sure were running. The reason I knew was because we were running them, at that point I gave up.

Most centres will not have finalised their programes for 2018 but the list from the club is normally published by the end of January. Be aware that it may not be wholly accurate as some centres rallies were missed off last year despite them sending details to the club on time. The best way to find details of rallies is to visit the the centre or region websites.

One rally that is not currently on the website is the Festival of the North. This is a rally organised by the centres within the Northern Region and is what used to be Northern Centres. This year it will be hosted by Northumberland centre and takes place at Alnwick between 20th and 28th August 2018. The fee is £11 per night inclusive of entertainment. Details and booking forms can be found on Northumberland Centre's website. Places are limited so you need to book early to avoid disappointment.

That's APPALLING and one year on it should have been sorted 😤😭😤😭😤.

I'd like to look by area, dates don't really matter as we have no commitments, so if there's one in an area we fancy (we may not know the area so just a list of rallies would be great) we plan/work a tour around it, hopefully incorporating others.

Last year I got a printed list but that wasn't comprehensive 😢. Not all centres got their entries in.

It seems such as shame that a Club (I use that term loosely as this is included in the company title) which has volunteers giving up hours of their time organising and running rallies doesn't support their efforts. In fact they almost put 2 fingers in the air 😲😲😲.

Boff and the unknown to me others who organise rallies THANK YOU.

The rally section on CT seems so disorganised with some major rallies listed in What's On whilst other rallies have to be found via membership and centres. Why not a proper rally section under one title? When we were in Scotland this year the Scottish centres had produced their national rally leaflet, nicely put together, it's being held at Kelso, which is worth a visit itself, especially Flores Castle and the Tweed. These details can be found here

Any one thought of pushing the report button as that seems to be the the only way these days on CT that get at timesundecided a responce from HO as they seem only interested in Face ache and the the twits

The set up, or lack of it, was discussed when the new web site was launched. The club appeared to think it was ok.

The reason is simple and obvious, the “Leadership”. Simply don’t care. If you press the banner at the top of this page marked, UK holidays, I see links to Tent Camping, Camping Pods, Cottages, Storage facilties. Do I see a link to Rallies of course not, not nearly sexy enough for the dynamic thrusting organisation that this club has become sic.

    Ps Rant over

PPS. Naturally when I came to paste this it crashed, I am now experienced enough to copy. My post before pressing reply

Quite a few centres (including my own) don't release their programmes/rally books until the New Year.

I get the impression, correct me if I'm wrong - that those asking for a list are not members of a centre but Club members wanting to incorporate rallies into their touring, possibly because they are a cheaper way if you don't feel the need for full facility sites ?

What many don't seem to understand is that there is no such thing as a 'comprehensive list of rallies' provided by the Club, because the Club do not provide these rallies. They are simply compiling a list of those that have been given to them by the many centres involved. Each of whom compile their own annual programmes - primarily for their centre members, to which they also throw open invites to everyone else in the club. Now these programmes are all compiled to the individual centres timetable, not a common one to all centres, their priority is to their members and getting their own rally books and their own individual websites published first and foremost, after all - if they miss a deadline to get them on the Club website it is not the end of the world they have their own after all.

(Oh and it is a fallacy that those at EGH are simply not interested in rallies and ralliers - as many of them are ralliers themselves)

It is worth noting that centre members get first notification of their centres proposed list for the coming year because they are given the opportunity to run them, without marshals the rallies would be cancelled, then they have to have time to put together their individual rally programmes ready to go into the rally book for the printers to get them ready for the centres deadline for publishing. For some centres that may be after their AGM for many it is New Year, either way they are not 'ready for booking' at the same time as Club Sites and any list on the Club website will not be complete until all centres are added as and when the EGH staff get through those sent to them by the centres.

    Merry Christmas everyone laughing

I challenged the club chairman over how difficult it is to find details of rallies and 2 years on nothing has changed. In fact it might be worse, at present members can’t use the search facility because the date system doesn’t work. (I reported the fact but still not corrected.)  I asked the chairman to imagine he was new to rallying and go on the website and try to find out where his nearest is. Is it that rallies cost the club money and so are not a priority? Even joining a Centre is difficult and you have to renew each year. The centre gets cash for members registering. In the other club each member is allocated a centre and they publish a list of rallies each month.

Couldn't agree more that it is not the slickest of systems but the date selection was working for me a couple of minutes ago !

Bill it’s the same fault as last year.   If it is and you checked today then the system will work because it is the 13th and it will work for the rest of the month. It will stoo working for the first 12 day’s  of February.

Bit of a waste of time complaining because let’s face it either a, no one cares, b, no one is competent to fix it , or c, the answer is a combination of a & b.

On the other hand if you were to complain that the towels weren’t fluffy enough in your glamping pod I am sure the leadership would sort it out in a shot.

Ps I am told that our centre’s Rally’s are booking up quickly this year.

The date selection works on my pc but not on my phone, was not aware of that till someone pointed it out the other day. There is no place search at all which is poor.

I didn't get our centre rally book till very late last year so I depend on the web. Do you all have rally books already?

Our centre’s  Rally books have been out since the beginning of December.  They are available in 3 formats, paper cost you £1, on the website, minus contact details and to Centre members online, which have the advantage of being updated through out the year.

Maybe you should put out an appeal on here I want to go to Rally in xyz area on the second weekend in April and see if anyone can help you?
