There are various helpful websites posted up around here, so if this one's there already my apologies. It seems a little like Ukcampsites in its approach - has anyone used it and evaluated it in real life, please?

(We're not yet booking anywhere for next May - thanks various people for this advice -  just collecting useful information sources. And daydreaming in the process smile )

Thanks.

A quick look at what it includes seems very restrictive - for instance it only includes 30 sites in Brittany, where there are hundreds, and many cracking good sites there are omitted.

There are few campsites, and an odd selection in my opinion.  I looked at Ardeche, Aveyron, Tarn |(which we're very familiar with), to find only five sites listed.  There are literally hundreds of sites in these areas.

A much better option if you want a single website to search through, is Eurocampings where there are over two hundred sites listed in the same area.  However, there are many more than this, and perhaps for France the best of all is Camping France which has every single site in France, apart from a few British owned ones which choose not to appear, sometimes because they are not properly licenced as campsites and have no toilet facilities.  The Camping France website doesn't have a lot of details about each site, nor any pictures, but if you're looking for  a site in a particular area then this one will show 99.9% of them.
