Ah, but the observant amongst us did notice the "member" banner under the avatar! However, on this website, not necessarily true!

    Sorry David  - I hadn't been observant.

That makes me wonder even more why the enquiry was made.

Perhaps the CC trying to stimulate a bit of debate on MHing at the back end of the year.

Well it has been a bit slow on CT lately.

I often wonder whether some posts are planted but then it makes it more difficult for responses to genuine posts.

Surely no one in any official capacity in the Club would produce such a badly written and vague post...........would they?

I suspect it was posted simply to see what responses would be made and how the thread would develop.

Notice, that there has been no response so far from "jstabler".

(Of course I may be wrong ......and there could be  genuine reasons for the post being as it is and the lack of response!)

It would be interesting to know what others think.

Same here and it is anoying when OPs do not come back with further information when requested. It does make you wonder and think is it really worth responding further. There is at least one other thread currently running where the OP hasn't come back to expand their requirements further.

    Hi everyone

Just to confirm we at the Club never have, and never will, put "bogus" posts on CT pertaining to be someone else - quite frankly we don't have the time and we would get in a lot of trouble if we did!

All Club posts are clearly marked by "staff" avatar - and usually our mug shot.. (although I notice mine has dropped out.. probably a good thing as I don't want to scare off new Members!)

Maybe jstabler has been scared off for other reasons.....surprised

If you are reading jstabler enjoy your Autumnal adventures!

Thank you Helen. It does look suspicious when shortly after an artical covering the topic appears in the magazine. Perhaps it is shear coincidence or  the thread gave the editor the idea.

Go and enjoy yourselves.  I'm sure you'll have a great time, do come back and tell us what you thought about it and how you get on.

I don't suppose you've upset anyone, plenty of help and assistance from members on here but sometimes we have had some odd ones  in the past 😉😉.

We're thinking of trying the new Love2Stay site, just outside Shrewsbury, for a few days.  Has anyone been yet?

Excellent very modern, clean, tidy site David. All hard standing, fully serviced pitches as long as you don't use "blue" in your toilet. If you do you are requested to use the CD point located in the single facilities block. Great views from nearly all the pitches and conveniently located with Salop Leisure which has a very popular cafe. There is also a cafe on site which has a restricted menu compared to the one in the leisure shop.

Jstabler, Attingham Park, a large national trust property is about a mile away and there is excellent walking and wildlife in the estate grounds.

There is a bus stop outside Salop Leisure but the service is not that good compared to the park and ride located next to the Morris Leisure site at Oxon. I think the bus into Shrewsbury was every 2 hours.

Thanks for that peedee.  That's very much as I imagined it would be.  Tempted to book for a few nights.  At £19 a night for CAMC members this time of the year, that doesn't seem too bad.

If you are going in December it could be worth going to Attingham Park's 1940 Christmas.

To the OP. If you want to go further south Moreton in Marsh is good for M/H users, easy flat walk to town and plenty of local dog walking, the pubs welcome dogs and there is a good sized enclosed area for dogs on the site.
