Reversing Camera for Android

Hi,

I think it would be useful to have a reserving camera both on my car (for hitching up) and on my van (for reversing into tight spots) and for general safety.  Can anyone recommend any models that work on Wifi or Bluetooth and have an app so I can see the view on my phone?  Or else a kit that come complete with a screen but is wireless so I don't need to lay cables, etc?

Choose a digital system, and not a cheap Bluetooth one from e.bay, as they are prone to interference.

I have no knowledge of any systems that might transmit to your phone, but as this would use Bluetooth interference may be an issue if one exists.

I spent ages looking for something that wasn't too expensive, and also easy to fit. Lots of wireless kits available on ebay but I eventually bought the individual components for less than £30 and fitted it all in a couple of hours.

It's not a crystal clear image and the screen flickers occasionally but it does what I wanted it to. The camera mounts underneath the caravan so I don't get visibility of anything higher than a few feet. The little fold down screen is ideal and I have wired it into a plug so it runs off of the cigar lighter. I can post some pictures if you want to see what it all looks like.
