Lake Constance

Hi all,

we are hoping to visit Lake constance during the 2018 summer holidays (eek) for about 3 weeks total (including travel), and wondered if anyone could recommend a site for a family comprising 2 adults + 5 year old.

We don't need kids club, evening entertainment etc.

But do like access to a beach, somewhere for the little one to ride his bike, a play area that isn't swamped by teenagers!

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Also, if anyone has good ideas for stop-offs on the way (we will be doing calais-dover)

    We stopped here last year.

Right on the waterside for bathing and boating.  Good cafes etc and play areas. The picture brings back a memory :-)

Sorry can't help with stopovers as we doing a loop round from Switzerland and back up towards the Mosel.

If you make it there don't forget to a trip over the the Rhine Falls on the Swiss side, very unexpected and dramatic.

Sorry, can't help with a campsite on Constance but we did pass the place on the way back from Venice last summer and stopped to see the Rheinfalls as suggested by reynoray above - stunning and well worth a visit.
