The municipal site in Troyes closes on 15 October but it is your obvious stopover until then. I am sure the site manager there will be able to recommend a vet in the town.

If you're in a Motorhome then try the Aire at Passage de Esplanade Belguique (free and open all year) or if in a caravan the site at Rue Roger Salengro 7 (closes 16th October and between €20 - €30 a night)

    Hope this helps.

Why indeed would anyone pay that sort of price at any time of the year?

But with a Caravan in certain parts of France you either pay the going rate for sites or struggle to find an overnight stopover.

In a MH it's rare to pay anything for an overnighter and booking is a concept I've never experienced in ten years in France.

The site in Troyes is €19.50 for 2 adults in October or €19 with an ASCI card.  Stayed many times as an overnight stop and can recommend it.

I liked it too - I'm happy to pay 19 euros for  a green environment with flowers, modern heated facilities including those for disabled visitors, hot showers, electric hook ups included in the price, washing machines and driers, a shop and a snack bar in season, mini golf and boules, a games room,  with TV and books to borrow, a heated swimming pool, and free wi fi.

It seems that some motorhomers don't like those things. Or don't like paying.

Another vote for the municipal at Troyes. The town itself is quite interesting from an architectural point of view and we walked in from the site the last time we visited.
