How do we go about getting insurance while in Spain for 9 months we are both 70.

    Be careful. If you import a vehicle into Spain you are restricted to 180 days without re-registering it.  Having said that you'd be surprised at the number of Brit cars that live down there without doing it. Don't expect any mercy from the Guardia Civil if they catch you and they are having an off day.

    Restrictions apply to people as well I believe a 'residencia' is required after 180 days.  However many people exceed that regularly.

    The poster does not specify what type of insurance.

    Being 70 is not a restriction. Check with your bank to see what free travel insurance you may have, then call them for a quote. Or, call the clubs Travel Insurance department and get a price.
