Hi

Does anyone out there have experience of travelling to Andorra from the French side re gradients etc. Checked it out on google maps and everything looks fine.  Staying maybe 3 nights then down into Spain to Camping las Dunas.

Any info much appreciated

The road up into Andorra is wide and modern, not over steep, with a toll tunnel cutting off the very top of the pass. The traffic is severely busy and slow, with thousands of tourists seeking duty free bargains. There will be customs delays at the frontier on your way out.

The main town in Andorra is frightful - a jumble of high rise blocks and random ill planned supermarkets and duty free bazaars. Parking is haphazard with cars, coaches and motorhomes at awkward angles in any space they can find. I am told things are better if you get out into the mountain areas but the main shopping town is absolutely dreadful.

thanks for that, have found a campsite, camping valira, 15 minutes walk from town. We're looking more for walking scenery rather than town shopping.

    thanks
