Top line windows
During a long motorway journey home last week, I noticed four caravans travelling with the top roof light windows open. Obviously it is not safe to 'flash' headlights at fellow travellers so nothing I could do to warn them. To add to this, a fellow caravanner on the site next to me had indeed lost his roof window during his travels and had to purchase a replacement. By no means a perfect traveller myself, we have a check list for site arrival and departure - not foolproof by any means, but perhaps one that even experienced caravanners might find useful. It is not just the replacement costs, inconvenience (imagine getting caught in a downpour!) but the danger to other motorway users. The windows are not light and if one hit a car or motorcyclist the outcome could well be tragic.
Kind regards to all.
