Cheap Campsite

We stayed recently at Camping le Port, Cercy la Tour in Burgundy.  A small site with good grassy pitches and clean facilities near the Canal du Nivernais.  It cost 9E.14 per night for m'home, 2 people, electric and local taxes.  Is this the cheapest site in France?

We stayed there a few years ago and it was around 7 Euros a night then. Nice quiet site with very clean facilities.  Near the canal for some nice cycling too.

Thanks for the info always looking out for these little gems.

Least expensive site we've been on was at Saint-Brice-sur-Vienne, its a small municipal about a dozen pitches in parkland with a nice lake. The facilities are old but clean, water and EHU every 2 pitches. Think we paid 4.60€ + 2€ if you need EHU

Very well placed if you wish to visit the Martyred Village of Oradour-sur-Glane

Do the Aires that have the facilities you mention but are free, or donation, qualify as Campsites?

May need to rethink the motorhome ownership!
