Rest stop(s) from Yorks to Cheddar

We're heading down from West Yorkshire down to Cheddar in late July and due to my age at least one stop will be necessary.

I will happily use the facilities in our caravan or any at stops suggested on route.

I expect to use the M1 then either the M42 or A42 onto the M5.

I am aware that it is the start of the holiday period and would hope to rely on the vast experience of 'tuggers' for assistance of places to pull into with 'reasonable' access.
