I have booked this site for 2 1/2 weeks for late July/August through the CACC.  Can anyone give any advice as to good things to do around (apart from surfing that is) that will be suitable for 16 and 13 year old although they are happy with a mix of what we want to do as well?

Also, have booked a service pitch but having read the reviews it seem some pitches, given that they are in a pine forest are not very uniform and you have to park at an angle due to trees etc.  I have a 7.5 m van and full awning and wondering whether it is worth taking the bedroom annex or whether space is likely to be limited.  If anyone has been I would be grateful on comments or any tips which would be most welcome.

many thanks in anticipation

I don't know that site but have been to similar ones. It was just sun, sea, sand and forest  - plus the swimming pool and activities on the campsite itself. But you can drive down to the bright lights of Biarritz in about an hour.

I'd just say that the surf at Biarritz is not for the inexperienced. I was there forty years ago so the bruises are gone now.

In general in the Landes there is not much to do so hopefully there will be activities on site. When we stayed in the area we went to Biarritz, Dax  and Pau for sightseeing.

i guess there'll be plenty of cycling, its pretty flat there, but might be a bit breezy.
