I've just had a good play with the online version. It is quite nice to use, although the details for campsites are rather sparse - especially opening dates.
What I cannot make out is how the selection of campsites is derived. It has most, but not all, ACSI inspected sites. (for areas I am familiar with, some of the most well known ACSI discount sites are missing). Some C&CC and CitF sites are included, but some are not. OTOH, it does include some sites in Spain which are not listed in any other guides I have. Of course, if you know exactly where a non-listed site is located, and you zoom in the map, you will find it .......but that is simply because it uses Google Maps. It can't be piggy-backing on Archie's or it would have vastly more sites shown.
It is difficult to believe that the sites which ARE included have all paid for the privilege of being listed in a pretty much unknown campsite guide facility.

Actually when I tried it didn't! We have a caravan on a site near our home, which we use whilst in this country, and the site where it's pitched isn't listed, nor is the one next door.
I've emailed 'Archie', who is a friend of mine, to see if he's heard of it

If you click on 'become a member' and then drill down into all the FAQ's etc, it becomes really weird. It talks about 'hosts'; 'friendships'; 'earning money by allowing people to camp in your garden'.............. and (surprise!) a commission to them of 15%.
